THE SWEATER IS GREAT FOR THE OUTDOORS. THE SIZE IS VERY GENEROUS I WOULD SAY ORDER A SIZE DOWN. I HAVE GOTTEN QUITE A LOT OF COMMENTS AS TO HOW MUCH PEOPLE LIKE IT. I GOT THE GREEN AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL!

I purchased the blue one and love it. I wear it in the house as I keep the temp low in winter to conserve heat. Very cozy and looks great. I am 5'8" and fit is good.

I bought this sweater for St. Patrick's Day - but it is so much more than that!!! I'll wear it from Fall through Spring! In the winter it will keep me toasty inside and in warmer weather I will wear it as a beautiful layer outside! This sweater is beautifully knitted of fabulous wool.

This is a very warm and attractive sweater. I wear it outdoors as a layer under a parka or coat and it helps beat the Colorado mountain cold and snow. You will have to wear a turtleneck under this sweater. It's not meant to wear against the skin. On a cool but not cold day, it's great as outer wear.

This sweater was purchased for my husband on the eve of our 30th wedding anniversary. He still has his boyish good looks at 60, the same as he did at 30 when we married just prior to Valentine's Day all those many years ago. The sweater is a classic, with a special pattern that is knit by the Irish women for their men going off to sea-talk about Romantic. My dream is to take him to Ireland wearing this good looking Plow and Hearth sweater. Thanks guys, you made my day and his with this lovely Irish sweater. Bravo!!Excellent quality and timelessness.

I bought this sweater as a Xmas present for my Mom and she just loves it. She wears it over a corduroy shirt and pants and even has worn it out to dinner with a skirt. She has gotten quite a few compliments on it already. She has had it cleaned twice and it still looks great. It is just the right weight, not so heavy that it's bulky, and not so light that it looses it shape.

I used less heat all winter and wore the sweater to keep me warm. I get comments every where I go on how lovely the sweater is. The cable stitching is very noticable.

This vest was great for wearing around the house. It added just enough warmth with no bulkiness and able to move around with no constrictions.

The reason for not rating a full 5 is because I would have the overall length be shorter. It is a bit too long for a short person and therefore I did not wear it to work this winter. And sometimes can be a bit itchy.
