We purchased the crock as a housewarming gift for a family member. She immediately put it outside by the front door with a bright flower inside. What a great way to welcome guests. The inside of the crock is glazed a deep red which blends so well with the flag on the front. The weight of the crock means it will not tip over if someone should bump into it. Because of its hard glaze I believe it could stay outside year round. I also like the fact that it was made in the USA!
