Easy to assemble. I have purchased these chairs in the past and found the finish holds up well where we use them (open but covered porch). I have not stored them indoors during the winter but so far no sign of finish deterioration. Easy to clean the smooth finish with a damp cloth. The color may have faded (lightened) in the three years as a new one ordered this spring arrived and is a darker color green than my older ones (also ordered from Plow and Hearth). This year I also ordered a matching ottoman but it is yet to arrive. Matching side table is pricey in my opinion but nice to have.

Don't usually provide reviews of products but feel I need to in this case. I have been looking for years for mid price adiron chairs. In the catalog these looked great, with a folding feature, sturdy, paint would last for years... They are comfortable and look nice from a distance. They do fold but when putting together the chain broke without much force at all. The foot rest was wobbly on the first try. First visit from friends and one of the seat's wooden slats cracked (these are not heavy friends either!). Paint is so thin, can see wood beneath it on foot rest. We have only had them a couple of months. Extremely disappointed!

Comments about Plowhearth All-Weather Adirondack Furniture:
I had purchased other cushions that did not fit well & were too thin. These cushions are beautiful, fit like they were custom made. Now if they wear as well as they look, I will be a very happy customer.

Not all weather

About Me High-end Shopper
I purchased these chairs in 2005 and 2006, and since I take them in each fall and store them in a covered building for the winter and part of the spring, I thought they would last longer than a few years. Two are rotten in places and one table rotted and had to be thrown out. From reading the reviews, I gather the present model is even worse. Save your money and try to get a teak chair if you're using them outside; otherwise, for a covered porch, they are probably all right.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
All Natural requires maintenence

My concept of an Adirondack chair is to have a chair that can basically be left almost all year round and stand up to the weather conditions. I have not had this for 30 days and the arms are starting to splinter and push up at different points in the grains of the wood. Maybe the painted versions would get around this. It is not a real sturdy feel. This wood is light and the construction which allows it to fold and store easily but makes is wobble when you shift and move in the chair. For a chair that seems half the price for a good ADK chair, I guess I should not have expected more.

An outstanding purchase. Very comfortable and used almost every day while setting outside.

Just finished putting together two chairs and two tables. We have a pair of the same chairs from four years ago. I have to admit that the new chairs and table are of poorer construction and material. Much thinner wood, exposed screw heads and one seat came with a gouge exposing the wood underneath. Also, the sitting position, in my opinion, is too far back. Too much angle on the back. They look nice, but concerned about overall longevity and performance.
Looks great with my adirondack chairs
Use it on the front porch between 2 Adirondack rocking chairs

Beautiful, but not sure about durability
We love them, but our first ones, last year, did not weather well. We'll see if the news ones will hold up longer...Just don't leave them outside all the time...
very comfortable chair, easy to assemble
from Jersey City NJ
Comfortable versatile chair that can be used anywhere in the home but usually best outdoors. Well constructed but there was a 3 inch long gouge on the seat which had obviously been filled in to cover it. Didn't matter to me much since it will get a lot of ware outside anyway.

We are disappointed with the new line of Adirondack chairs; they are clearly inferior to Plow and Hearth's previous line. Thinner wood, exposed screws, ugly leg-side plugs proclaim poor quality. Too soon to comment on weather resistance, but the exposed screws suggest future problems.

Current Adirondack Chair Line
The new line of Adirondacks is of lesser quality than those previously available from Plow and Hearth. In short, a disappointment.
from Laporte, Pa
We purchased 2 Adirondack chairs 2 summers ago and loved them. This spring I got them out and noticed the finish was cracking on the arms. I contacted my local Plow & Hearth and they graciously replaced them with a "new" version and said they were supposed to be improved. As soon as I took them out of the box I could tell the were not nearly as heavy and well constructed as the ones they replaced. After one week the wood on one of the arms is cracking. I contacted Plow & Hearth and they could not have been nicer, telling me they wood take them back and give me a full store credit. Love the look and color, but, extremely poor quality. Very disappointed. We would have been better off keeping the old ones.
Great Value For a Patio Side Table

The all weather adirondack side table is a great value for the price. It assembles extremely easy and is very solid. Perfect for my relatively small balcony since it does not take up a lot of space but is still very attractive in the natural finish I selected.

nice side table
from Delaware at the beach
I have looked for over a year to find a side table to set between my Adirondack chairs. It had to be a nice looking, quality product. And it had to be a good value. This table won on all counts!

[...] Not there yet and not sure what to do. It appears that there is a part(s) missing. They overnighted parts to me but what I think is missing, still isn't there. I'm sure we'll get through this. The chair is (I think) great once it is assembled.

Thought it would be a bit stronger.

Found the chair not of the quality I expected. Didn't realise it was made in China. It shows.
Cheap, Cheap, Cheap - big disappointment
Bought two adirondack chairs from P&H a few years ago and they need to be replaced. Thought these would be the same, but they are too light of weight wood. The slats are so thin they could break underneath you.
Most comfortable outdoors chair ever!

We wanted chairs and a swing in white that would be easy to keep clean and leave outdoors in the Pacific Northwest. We were recently told we had the "cutest porch in the neighborhood."
