Comments about Product: Really improved the look of my kitchen light. It was easy to install and looks so much nicer than the recessed light did before. I really recommend this if you want to improve on the basic recessed light because it is not a big expenses and is very easy to install.
Comments about Product: I really like the decorative rings I bought for my kitchen. I was a little hesitant because I didn't talk to my husband first. But after he got over the fact that I needed him to install them, he liked them and wanted me to order more for the hallway.

Very nice fixture
Comments about Product: These give my kitchen a whole new look. They were easy to install, and of great quality, but not all of my ceilings recessed lights were the same size so it took a bit to adapt these to fit correctly in some. Again, I can not get over the how this simple change makes such a wonderful difference!

Lovely, but . . .
Comments about Product: Very attractive and well made, but could be better if the glass ring were held to the metal leave ring without using the reflector. In older homes you cannot use the reflector and will need to jury-rig the fixture to make it fit without using the light bulb to hold it in place.

Comments about Product: This item is well made and looks terrific. The only thing I had to do is make holes at a higher location for the retainer springs, as the original holes were a bit too low for the new springs and the unit would not hold snug against the ceiling. It was an easy fix and they make the kitchen look 100% better.

Comments about Product: Used to replace 1970's stainless rings. They look warm instead of like an office light.

Great looking, not so easy install
Comments about Product: These look great once installed, really class the place up from the cheesy, standard, contractor special, white can lights.
Initially I almost gave up on trying to install them as after I put the first couple of them together (easy enough task) and tried to mount them on the can, the springs would not stretch/reach the holes in the top of the can and you have to do it basically blind as your hand is way up in the can with no way to see. I finally came up with the solution of drilling 2 small holes in the can itself about 1-2 inches below the top of the can. In this way I could now stretch the springs (rather hard to hold onto once stretched, and they hurt your fingers) to the drilled holes and mount the unit (I also bent the hook part of the spring for a better angle). After mounting about 8 of them, I found that if your fingers didn't hurt too much, you could stretch the spring to the top and just put the hook over the top rim and it would hold, which made the job quicker, but seems less secure. Anyway, I don't think they will fall down, they felt sturdy enough (unless the spring snaps) and they do look stunning.
The second issue after all that in my cans is that the hole in the back of the unit is too small for a regular size flood light bulb to fit through, so you either need and extender, or you can buy some smaller diameter flood lights that will just barely fit through and then the light itself is actually behind the base of the trim ring's back, but it looks ok and the light is nicely dispersed.

Decorative Ceiling Light Rings
Comments about Product: I had recently purchased these from another catalog and paid almost twoice the amount for these from P&H. Very please with the style and the defused lighting after their installed. However, be forewarned. Depending on your ceiling cans, this may be a bigger job then you think. I had to replace my ceiling cans to accommodate these rings. So the cost just doubled.
