On Wednesday, October 1st, 2008 we officially kicked off the Plow and Hearth Campaign to Reforest America when our president planted the first tree outside our offices. Many of our associates participated by planting 49 trees down the drive on the Madison, VA campus. We were joined by local officials, members of the Virginia and National Forest Service, kindergarteners from a nearby school and even Smokey Bear!
The best part is, everyday when we come to work, we see the trees that line our entrance and know that we are part of this important national campaign and reaching our goal of planting one million trees.
