The smudge pot is quite large. I bought the copper pot. It has started to rust a little. (obviously not real copper) It is easy to fill. There is a heavy weight in the bottom to keep it stable. Works great on windy days. Looks great along the walk or on a stone wall. Bigger than I expected, but it's great because the citronella does not need to be refilled constantly. I recommend this and will most likely get another. I thought is was a little expensive, but had a coupon.

We live in the country (woods), and we use them on our porches, front and back, and anywhere we don't want bugs. Also use them as candles at Christmas, since they give off lots of light. They are real roomy too, and we don't usually have to fill them more than once a season. Wicks seem to last forever too. Have never had to replace one.

        Comments about Plowhearth Smudge Pots:

I primarily use the Smudge Pot in my little red wagon and pull it around with me as I do yard/garden work on high biting bug days/evenings. Also use on my patio. The (black)snuffer chain rusted almost overnight, so I usually bring the pot(s) in to the porch when I have extinguished them; I store them (empty) indoors over the winter. Other than that I love them and would recommend them with that qualifier. Going to purchase a few more. Very nice that they don't get too hot to handle shortly after putting out.

            Comments about Plowhearth Smudge Pots:

The appearance of the smudge pot after a few short months is very disappointing. Rust has already taken over the outside of the pot where it is put together along with the chain that attaches the cap. Great for outdoors but lacks the quality you want to have in a product that cost this much.

We have eight of these around the pool. The new top design that holds the wick is a great improvement over the older ones I have. Some of them are at least 12 years old.

                  Comments about Plowhearth Smudge Pots:

These pots illuminate nicely, and are attractive, at first. However, after only a few weeks outside, the finish on the copper pots is already showing signs of rust, and the chains that attach the snuffer caps to the pot are very rusted. I expected better durability.
