I purchased this item with reservations considering the review that said they didn't work and also the one that said it could be purchased for less. I purchased them on sale from P&H and I have not been disappointed. Yes, cars and animals will set them off, but if it were not for that, no one used my front door so I would hear nothing. My neighbors have enjoyed them as well and have not found them to be annoying. My grandkids enjoyed walking back and forth in front of the bells once they saw how they worked. This is a different look from the usual outdoor decorations, and I like the fact that they play 30 different songs. So far I have not been disappointed.

Unfortunately they only lasted for the first 2 nights of our display. I found the same product at [...] for [$] less than Plow & Hearth... bought it... it works fine. It was the same manufacturer (Mr. Christmas), but had a very slightly different design. We are now in our 15th night of our display and they continue to work fine -- but, remember, [$] less. We have received numerous compliments on the set.

This is one fo the best outside ornaments at a reasonable price that I ever purchaed, I highly recommend. It is great to know someone is coming up the walk as the bells start playing. Need to be careful where you point sensor and how low on the shepherds hook you place it, or all of the animals like dogs, will set it off.
