I bought the natural color 8ft and fading is not noticable but the stitching all disintegrates just after the 3 yr warrenty expires. My wife resewed them with Kevlar thread as the fabric was still in good shape. I think we are at 5 yrs now.

I bought 2 awnings to shade my westward facing front windows and help cool my house. Very easy to install, and they actually did help cool the front rooms of my home. However after the first year my burgandy awnings were no longer burgandy. The sun fading was much more severe than I ever expected. There was no recommendation for the consumer to apply a UV protector to prevent fading or information about fading found in the item description when I purchased them.
Although they seemed to be a great value, knowing that they have no curb appeal after the 2nd year of use makes them a waste of money in my opinion.
Now I am looking to replace these awnings with custom canvas awnings or possibly aluminum.
