I'm using Charlie T. Alligator to guard the entryway to our backyard. He must be doing a good job because as yet we've no intruders.By the by, we had a major rainstorm yesterday and Charlie didn't budge an inch...so well made is he.

I had intended to use this on the patio as an unusual side table, however after removing the packaging on the front porch where it was delivered, he may end up residing amongst a bed of hostas out front. The on-line image doesn't do it justice, this is really a cute piece. I think he'll get lots of compliments. I would agree with other reviewers that the packaging leaves something to be desired. The delivery box was half open and dented (not Plow & Hearth's fault), but I consider myself fortunate that it was not damaged. There was only paper and a small amount of bubble wrap to protect the item.

While it is a cute addition to our lanai, it came slightly damaged. I had thought about giving it as a gift, but will not do so because of the condition.

Gator is sturdy, made well, strong. Children sit on it. I use it as a end table. Nothing slides off of it. I'm pleased with it and it's worth the money.
