This does fade in direct sunlight. I can not imagine a fabric that would have been able to sustain its color in the extreme heat and sun we had this summer in Northern VA. I knew that before I selected the location to hang these in front of my home. I loved the look and hope to get at least 3 years use out of them before replacement due to color. I will buy them again because it is a great look.

I saw this particular bunting in a couple of other catalogues, but the price was at least $10 higher. I think it's a rarity to say that something is a "great deal" these days...it always seems that when the price is right the quality is not. Well, one of the reasons I like shopping at P&H is that I ALWAYS know that both will be the best. This bunting dresses up the exterior of our house. We bought it to hang for the Fourth of July, but we like it so much that we've kept it up since then!

Our home is always decorated for the July 4th celebrations. We live at "Patriot House," and our neighbors expect to see our large wrap around veranda all decorated for patriotic holidays. This bunting was just was we wanted! Way to go Plow and Hearth for selling it at a great price!

Got three small buntings to put across the front porch. The quality is very good. The colors are rich, with the cream being especially nice. Gives a much better look than those with white. In hindsight, I wish I had bought the large buntings. They would be more visible and dramatic.

Love the product, were beautiful when I put them up on my porch. Colors faded fast and now they look horrible. These buntings were expensive and I'm very disappointed I will only get to use them one season. I didn't mind paying the price since I thought they would last more than a few months.

I bought 4 of the american flag column covers and was VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THE ONE IN SOME SUN, HAS FADED ALREADY ... they've only been up for a couple of weeks! They look great, but am disappointed that the "fade factor" happened so soon :(

This is the only pillar bunting I have found, so I purchased that and the large bunting and put it on our portico which faces north. It was up for a week around Memorial Day and another week around July 4th. The red fabric on the large bunting has faded to a rust brown, and the pillar bunting which was almost entirely in the shade is also very faded. It looked nice, but for far too short a time.

We recently bought a small beach house in a community where all of the neighbors decorate their front porches for the Fourth of July. I looked online and at several local retailers in search of the perfect decorations. These buntings are beautiful and appear to be well made --- better quality than I have seen elsewhere. The fabric is heavy weight duck cloth and the stars are stitched rather than stamped. I also ordered two of the pillar buntings and hung them against the house. I hope they will hold up in our coastal climate and withstand the rain.

Yes...the product fades in sunlight... we were buying new ones every year...we have a B&B and love the look...even have a flag to match the vintage look...we sprayed them last year with an anti-sun fading product we found on line and they are just as beautiful this year...we re-sprayed them for this year....even re-purchasing them each year is fine...you do that with hanging flowers....the look is so worth it and the quality is amazing....we get tons of compliments and everyone wants to know
where to get them!!!

We hung the buntings from the support beams that run across the large porch dormer on the front of our log home. The look is beautiful against the wood stain color of our logs! They will be protected from the rain and sun as we plan to leave them up all summer long. My husband was even impressed with the stitching of the stars.

I used the small and large bunting around my deck and they are absolutely beautiful. My neighbors had so many postivie remarks. The old style ecru really makes the bunting. I would recommend these to anyone that is on the fence. you will be so happy you got them. I am looking forward to all the summer holidays to display them
