After our trip to the woodlot to stock up for the winter in Maine we loaded this rack, probably well beyond its intended capacity, but the rack did not seem to mind. It held a lot more than I expected but felt solid as a rock. I liked the size which gave me lots of options for placement. Will probably buy another one of these when we increase our stock of firewood. Easy to assemble in about a minute.

The rack and cover are of great quality. The cover is heavier and far more durable than I expected it to be. The rack was easy to put together -considering- I don't own a scewdriver; the mini-tools came with the instructions.

I've had 2 of these firewood racks for 2 yrs--no rust, despite being out in the elements. and ordered 3 more. They're tough, zero maintence, and firewood stays put--doesn't fall out.

This replaces a cover I bought many years ago. It has held up extremely well, but is finally ready to be replaced. I especially like the velcro which holds the sides down and makes it easy to get at the woodpile even in awful weather, without uncovering the whole thing.

Received the large wood racks on time and well packaged.
Assembly is easy. I use a screw gun and a ratchet wrench for @ 1/2 hour, but I'm kind of slow !
I burn 3 cords of wood each winter in two EPA type wood stoves. During a wet winter, the covers that are available with these racks are just the ticket. They're tough, durable, and weather tight. I tie down the covers with elastic cord, in case of a very high wind.
I stack the wood onto @12 large racks - just right for a space next to the house.
A bit expensive, but some of the 12 are over 5 years old and look as good as they day I bought 'em.

I have bought 12 of these racks to store four cords of wood and they are awesome. They are not inexpensive, but I expect to have these for years. Have half floating covers and half full covers and like them both -- covers cost about the same as sturdy tarps, but fit much better.

We've had the woodrack and cover for about 10 years. Actually, we've had several covers - they're pretty cheaply made, and will crack and split as soon as it gets really cold. They might last 3 years, if you tape the cracks in it. The rack is quite nice - yes, it's a bit wobbly without wood in it, but if it were heavy enough not to wobble when empty, you wouldn't be able to move it. For the first time, this summer I did a bit of touch up painting on the rack - it's had a lot of hard use, and the paint was worn off in a few places, but a bit of rust converter and a little gloss spray lacquer, and it lookes like new. Love it - tho I am disappointed - badly - in the cover. we've gone thru 3 or 4 of them, and I'm considering having one made of heavier material that will be more durable.

I use this product for storing wood. It looks nice and stores the wood evenly. There is a rust spot about as big as a 50cent oiece in the side. Hope it does't get worse during the winter.

This firewood rack keeps wood off the ground and neatly stacked. The cover fits over nicely and keeps it dry and ready to use for winter. Cover will lift up to take wood out as needed and then it is easily put back on. You need to bungee cord it on the sides if you live in an area with lots and lots of wind. No biggy though we do and it is no problem to undo and take wood out and then bungee back. We bought one a few years ago and now have bought another. The first one looks as good as the one we just bought. We think this is an excellent product.

It would be better to get the wood up off the ground higher. The rack sits directly on the ground. Should come with water proof blocks or something to get it up higher

We use it on the deck to store a small amount of firewood for our wood burning stove. Saves a few trips through deep snow.

I have a small indoor wood stove and some of my logs are smaller than the piece comfortably holds. Still, it's easy to set-up and keeps the wood off the ground and in a nice pile.

The overall cost is less than other large capacity firewood racks. It is just a few pieces of metal and a pretty good flexible cover. I like the extra height compared to most 4' high racks. It was pretty easy to assemble.

We have another Plow and Hearth wood rack (the Decorative Rack) and absolutely love it. It's strong and attractive. However, this one is much flimsier. It's fine if you don't want to stack the wood very high. But, if you plan to fill it even 2/3rds full, the sides extend at an angle greater than 90 degrees making the cover difficult to fit over the ends. More importantly, with the cover on, the entire wood rack can become a wind sail and blow over which is what happened to us. This could be avoided by having a stronger, wider, reinforced base. I wish we had just bought more of the Decorative Fire Racks, rather than spending money on this flimsier model that isn't meant to hold as much wood as it appears to have in the picture. All we have to show for it is a ripped-to-shreds cover (from falling), wood sprawled all over our backyard, and a checkbook entry for another, better fire rack. I would not advise buying this wood rack. Buy 2-3 of the Decorative Racks instead; they're much better made.

I guess I received one of the only bad of these racks. X-tra large one as a gift. The braces at the bottom did not match as they should have. Haven't used it too store wood yet and noticed today that paint has peeled off and rust has begun!X-tra large is very flimsy. From this experience i wood not recommend it-usuallay like like P&W products.

The large wood rack cover has a seam in the middle that allows water to leak in every time it rains. Because the seam is in the center of the cover, rainwater puddles there and continues to leak long after the rain has stopped. I used the original black cover for five or six years before it began to leak from wear (no seam) this one began leaking upon first use.

Keep wood stacked in an orderly manner. Holds wood off the patio making it easy to blow leaves out from under it. Easy to assemble and totally functional.

While still using the "firewood under the tarp" or "woodshed way over there" methods, we are delighted to add this product. The sturdy rack allows us to store a good supply of wood for quick access just out the door (with air space along the building). The cover is easy access and stays in place.

The wood stacks easily in this rack. The cover has two zippers that make it easy to remove wood from the rack. The cover seems durable. Be sure of the size you need though. I could have used one twice the size.

This is our second one so you know we are happy with it. It looks good and is strong. Holds a lot of wood to be sure. Can't think of anything wrong with it. The size is good for us.

Only problem is that you have to take the cover up to get to the firewood. A side zipper would be better.
