It sits on our bar and and our guests think it's alot of fun. Like that people don't have to put their hands into the peanuts to get the peanuts. The dispenser is somewhat difficult to fill - would be nice to have a funnel shipped with the dispenser.

We bought this item as a gift to the couple that has everything and likes the unusual. The design is attractive, the base is heavy and made well. The drawback is that when I shipped the item, the glass globe broke. The glass is very, very, very thin. I am hoping I can find a replacement globe since I ended up re-ordering for our friends and have the broken item at my house. I would not recommend this item to be used by children because of how delicate the glass is. The globe holds a nice amount of candy or nuts. The opening is small so gourmet nuts don't work. Peanuts and M&M's are the best items to fill the globe with.

I loved the idea of this candy dispenser! I like the size of it. It looks like it wouldn't hold much but it actually holds a very good amount. You have to be careful with it though, because it is lightweight and some of it is actually plastic, not metal. The glass globe is very thin. The first one I ordered had several bubbles in it so I got another which was better. Overall, I like the way it looks and am happy I bought it, I just need to be careful with it.

Love the look of the dispenser, it is just not very high quality. Some of the unit is painted plastic and the glass on the globe is thin. But, it is cute and is functional.

Large pieces (some nuts) will not fit through the opening. The dispenser is inconvenient and it is easy to overfill your hand. Don't think young children could use this.

I have given this product as a gift to my husband and to my father in law. They use them to dispense nuts, and the mechanism works perfectly every time. Instead of having an uncovered bowl of pistachios on the kitchen counter, we have an attractive container. It is large enough so that it doesn't have to refilled all the time. My father in law liked his so well, that he ordered another for a friend.

After a short time of use the handle broke off rendering it useless. In addtion the storage globe does not stay secure to the base.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas thinking he would put candy in it but then I decided it was the perfect give from the Newfs. We put oyster crackers in it and use them for training treats. It looks great out all the time on the dining room tablel. Dispenses a handfull of crackers at a time. We all love it!!!

I got this as a gift and it was well received. It obviously looks better with something in it, such as nuts or m&ms. It's nice to have in an everyday place where people have easy access to it. Nicer than a bowl of goodies as it helps portion control the amount of food people eat (in a bowl its too easy to keep just putting your hand in). Only complaint is that it is hard to fill. It would make sense if the metal on top unscrewed so that it could be filled from there, however, you have to unscrew the glass bowl from the bottom based. Also, it's not made of great materials. The glass is cheap and flawed, something that you probably won't notice if its filled. Metal is cheap as well. If you just plan to use it as an everyday item, it works.

This is a great unusual gift for the person who has everything. The metal base is heavy and well made with an opening that will accomodate candy or nuts up to the size of peanut M&M's easily. Gourmet nuts might clog the spout. The GLASS globe is a very delicate, thin glass. The overall size was smaller and shorter than I anticipated for a candy dispenser, but the overall piece is attractive. Adding colored candy makes it attractive to use on the corner of a bar or table. I would not recommend for use iwth small children because of the thin glass globe.

At first glance the dispenser seems small, but when you fill it up you find that it holds quite alot. I keep it on my countertop in the kitchen. I change the candy to match the holiday or special occasion. The grandkids just love it. It's the first thing they go to when they come to visit. It's fun to hear them giggle with delight when they are using it. Love it!!!!!!

I ordered this as a housewarming gift...however I returned it. The first one came broken and the second one too late. Upon looking over the second one I received, I discovered it is very cheaply made. The magazine said "silver plated", however it was actually silver paint over a plastic base. I was hoping it would have been heavier...like a gumball machine. And the lever to dispense the snack was flimsy. I don't think it would have taken too many times dispensing before the lever would have snapped. This is not worth the money.

I bought this for my office and my co-workers loved it for all the treats it afforded them. I even gave it as a gift to a co-worker for her office area (it eliminated hands in the peanuts she puts out for visitors). The one and only complaint that I have is that it is extremely fragile. I have had 2 broken so far and want to buy another one, but it has gotten too costly. Wish you sold replacement globes! That's why only 2 stars.
