True to catalog
Comments about Product: I ordered this from the catalog; the size and color are exactly what I expected.
We have a large round table, 70 inches in diameter with six high top swiveled chairs; fit covers down to the bottom of the chairs. The material is of strong quality. The price is expensive, well worth the money if it holds up; I expect to get a couple of winters of coverage, time will tell. I wish the cord was longer.
cover up for winter
Comments about Product: the product seems good but the test will be when winter is over. The info and instructions were lacking as I had to assume that the pipe and "stirrups" provided was fpr a center location . The picture was not clear at all and there were no instructions included.
In addition I was supposed to get free shipping and it didn't happen and when I was trying to do it through the "free shipping" company it wouldn't go through and it sais it was only for a certain amount ($10 or $15) not the $19.99 actual cost. I'm still trying to get a hold of this process to no avail. I will be not ordering again unless I get a clarification about this.
By The Critic
Comments about Product: This table cover was used for our Plough and Hearth outdoor dining table and chairs. It was easy to assemble. The color, good.
My issue is the quality. The advertisement indicated fade-resistant, UVA/B protection, mildew proof, water resistant. We ordered the cover on 23 Aug 2013, it arrived when advertised it would arrive. I waited several days after receiving it before putting it into use as I needed to move the furniture outdoors. After only a few days in the cloudy weather, the cover began to fade, turning almost white. Mind you, it was only outdoors maybe 7-10 days total before the fading began. Then a tear developed on one of the seams on the top of the table. The weather was not a factor in creating this tear - there has been no wind, no rain for almost 2 months in my location.
I do like this product and did ask for a replacement. This time, I will not use the "tent" pole in the center which was designed to help the water run off the cover top. That may help keep the seam from ripping apart. My suggestion to P&H is to reinforce that area where the pole extends with an additional piece or two of fabric.
I'll see how this replacement works out. I do suspect the fading will continue but that shouldn't affect the performance of the product. Stay tuned for an update.
Comments about Product: I live in a very hot, sunny zone and wanted something heavy enough to prevent sun damage to my chairs. The material of this cover is a layered cloth exterior and coated interior and weighty (unlike the Tyvek- type covers.) The "Large" size fits my 48"dia.table/4 chair set very well with plenty of drop to cover the seats of the chairs leaving about 3-4" gap at the ground for air circulation. The chair backs are 37" tall. The grommet and string method of tie-down is not my favorite. The string catches on the chairs during removal. I prefer elastic on the bottom of the cover just for ease of use. I did not use the included, middle stand that is designed to elevate the center of the cover above the table top. Rain or snow accumulation is not a factor here. I am pleased overall with this cover and hope that it will last at least one season. So far I give it a thumbs up.

Gorgeous Eucylptus Table
Comments about Product: outdoor dining for summer months
the round shape and the built-in lazy susan in the middle of table is great.
Outdoors Table cover
Comments about Product: The cover is a good heavy weight for our windy area.
The center support was a surprise a real plus.

Comments about Product: Could not figure out how to use center support pole. Had to improvise. No directions were included. Cover is a bit short as we have tall backed chairs.

Not enough grommets
Comments about Product: There are not enough grommets to adequately secure the cover with bungy cords. The lightweight cord provided with the cover is simply inadequate. At least if you had more grommets it would be easier to utilize bungy cords to secure the cover.

Outdoor Furniture Cover
Comments about Product: I checked three stars as we just put the cover over a large set and we'll see what happens in the winter. I can't recommend yet
Cover for patio table and chairs
Comments about Product: Since I could not carry table and chairs down to basement for winter storage anymore, this solved my problem.
Comments about Product: This material seems to be quite heavy and should stand up to our brutal winters. The only drawback has been that the center support is not enough in the large size. We have had to prop it up with more things than the small center support so that water/ice doesn't pool in the dips. Set up was easy. Size was perfect.
Good quality cover
Comments about Product: I really like this cover compared to the green ones that I had previously ordered; however, I don't like the tie system. I much prefer the ties on the green covers. It was much easier and neater too. I will need to order more covers soon and would prefer the other tie system.
Comments about Product: I ordered this cover and went with the deluxe so it would hold up. The cover fit great and did the job but after half the winter it is already tearing like it is dry rotted. We don't live in a harsh wether area only had one snow and not much then. Very disappointed how the cover did not hold up.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
