Tension rods are the perfect answer for hard to fit spaces and for installing Plow & Hearth outdoor curtains and sheers. Decorative 3/4" tension rods in two finishes feature a heavy duty spring and rubber insets in end caps. Comments about Product: I bought this rod to hang curtains inside a 95" long window box. Was so happy to finally find a rod for this purpose, with good reviews. The rod looks beautiful and feels sturdy, but I had some issues. My brother tried to help but got the same results. Even though I only used very lightweight curtains and didn't go as far out as the 120" max, I found the center sagging. It was difficult to get the length adjusted to the exact size without damaging the wall; I ended up getting black marks (thanks to the black rubber on the ends) on my newly painted window walls. Lastly, not sure who is responsible for the packaging, but I didn't appreciate the bag of wall mounts being taped directly onto the metal of the rod. It took patience to gently remove all the gummy residue so as not to do any damage to the surface. I ended up keeping it since I needed the rod, but it doesn't look as nice as it should for the price.
Comments about Product: We used the longest rod available (for up to 120" expanses), stretching it 116". It's hanging straight (with two panels at one end), not bowing or drooping. We did remove the end pieces and screwed them into the posts, so we're not relying on simple tension to hold the rod up, but using the optional center support would have been tricky in this area. We were happy that the rod is strong and the center support turned out to be unnecessary. And we love the look with the new curtains.
Outdoor Curtain Tension Rods
Comments about Product: Used for hanging Coolaroo outdoor curtains, work very well. Ordered two rods, they came in seperate boxing. One looked like it was in orginal box sealed, the other looked like it had been used before and reboxed, scratched up and missing parts. Since will be used outdoors, made it work.
A Breeze to Install
Comments about Product: These tension rods are a breeze to install and look terrific. My daughter and I hung her new drapes in minutes.

Nice tension rods
Comments about Product: I like the looks of these very much and like that you do not have to do a permanent installation. However, the size of the grommets in the curtains and the end of the tension pole, although both were sold ont he same page, are not compatable. My husband had to remove the end of the pole with a tool, slide the grommets on, and then replace the end of the pole. If the end of the pole had been slightly smaller or the grommets slightly larger, they would have slipped on without having to remove the end. A release mechanism for removal would have been helpful if the size needed to be larger to hold the curtains on the pole.
I would Buy this product again
Comments about Product: We live in Phoenix, AZ where it can get to 115 degrees in the summer. Used this rod to hang black out insulated drapes in an 104" wide 80" length window. Holding the weight fine. This size is so hard to fine.

Comments about Product: The rod is well-made and sturdy. We placed it above our sliding glass door to hold insulated curtains. Looks great.
Not very sturdy
Comments about Product: It does not work without the ceiling bracket and the arrangement of the ceiling bracket means that it is a major job to take the curtains down for cleaning. It would be better if it were made of heavier metal with a stronger spring. The rubber ends also left marks on the wall as it was being installed.
