Comments about Product: this product has a very comforting soft glow that is still great to read by, a good value over all.
Love these lamps!
Comments about Product: Very easy to assemble. We use the floor lamp in the living room and the light is great for reading as well as being attractive.

Comments about Product: Bought this for my living room and like it a lot. I'm probably going to buy a second one. The dome does look very orange, but when lit up produces a nice amber glow. Love the finish; rough in a shabby chic, vintagey finish. I also like the floor switch; when I'm reading on the sofa, I just slide my foot over to turn off- No getting up!
I liked it so much, I bought another one
Comments about Product: I placed this light on the night stand in the bedroom. It is just the right size. Not to cumbersome. The on /off switch is on the cord so you have to reach behind the night stand to turn it on and off. A switch on the light would have been more user friendly. Overall I love the look of this lamp, the quality is good.
Love this lamp
Comments about Product: I use it as a reading lamp next to my most comfortable chair. Has a nice heavy base so it doesn't tip over easily. adjustable shade. very nice
LIke the style ... but ORANGE globes
Comments about Product: The globes are not the color pictured online and in the printed catalog. They are very orange and did not work for us. Purchased one table and one floor lamp ... but will be returning both. Disappointed.
Comments about Product: Was not satisfied with lamp although it is pretty.

Beautiful Quality Lamps
Comments about Product: I loved the lamps and their quality. However they were not large enough for the area in which they were planned to be used, thus I have returned them. I would definitely recommend them to a friend if they were planning to be used in a smaller area.
They are absolutely beautiful and very nice.
Comments about Product: In your photos, the floor lamp was made to look much taller than it was. The 9W bulb was too bright and blinding and a 60W reg bulb worked best. It is so light in weight, needs propped next to wall so it doesn't tip over. The glass around the area where the bulb screws in, is chipped and cracked away.
Very nice lamp
Comments about Product: Attractive lamp for a bedroom done in old fashioned oak pieces.
Nice for the price
Comments about Product: We bought the floor lamp and the stand itself is heavy and well made. I don't like the dome part at all. It seems cheap and creates too much of a neon orange glow. I'll shop for a textured dome with a better color. Still a good value.

Comments about Product: We purchased this floor lamp for our living room, and we absolutely love it! So much that I may even buy the desk lamp!
Comments about Product: I love the desk lamp! It would make a nice accent piece for my living room.wow.
I have 3 of these great lamps!
Comments about Product: Parked the floor lamp next to my favorite chair by the fireplace so I can snuggle up with a great book. It's perfect!!!
If you want a cozy glow, this is it
Comments about Product: You can warm up a room and get a lamp that will probably outlast you - I mean the thing is heavy! Typical Plow and Hearth thoughtful touch to specify a CF bulb come with it - lots of glow, tiny expense, great light to leave on when you're gone and come home to a cheerful house.

Looks better in the picture
Comments about Product: Love the styling but the quality is marginal. Bronze finish attractive. However the bowl which goes over the light appears cream colored in catalog and on line picture, but it is actually a neon orange - I will need to replace that at a local store. Also the lamp is not very steady- it bobs to one side a little on a hard floor due to the weight of the top, even when assembled tightly.
Comments about Product: It looks great on the top of my roll top desk. Nice ghange from a green library lamp. Just the right amount of lighting I needed for that area.
Perfect for any Corner
Comments about Product: I have placed this floor lamp in a corner behind a large chair to add style, character, and ambiance.
Comments about Product: We bought the library and floor lamps to compliment our small living room by the fireplace. Very sturdy lamps, they irradiate a soft amber color light to the room.
Comments about Product: I ordered a Library Lamp a few years ago, both floor and table...and loved them. This is fine, but definately not the high quality as before. The finish on the metal is off and the dome on the lamp is really small compared to the other. When my son accidentally broke both I was okay, knowing you had them to order, but definately not as happy with the lamp as before...tiny little bulb. Maybe look into American made. Ilove alot of your items and know I will purchase from you unless quality goes down on more products. Thanks. JI

Still love these after all these years
Comments about Product: I got the floor lamp and the table lamp for my den 5 years ago and they still look like they did on the first day. I have a lot of house guests in the under-10 range too, but these can take some rough-housing. Really good-looking and sturdy.
Poor quality lamp
Comments about Product: I was really excited about the floor lamp when I saw it in the catalog, but it was a big disappointment. Putting it together was fairly easy, but the end of the pole that screwed into the base would not tighten, and with the weight of the glass shade, the lamp leaned to the side. The glass shade is a solid color, but the color was inconsistent with some light areas that resembled water stains. Finally, the energy efficient bulb that came with the lamp caused the light to look cold and harsh even with the orange colored shade. It looked like the bulb was made for the lamp, so I don't know if it could have taken a different bulb. Even if it could, given the poor quality of the lamp, it wasn't worth trying to find out. I disassembled the whole thing and sent it back. Sorry I had to waste the money on the postage.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
