Comments about Product: The color was a "true navy" which is what I really wanted. I especially like the color of the umbrella's wood frame. The pulley is easy to operate.
Comments about Product: I have Sunbrella material as on our outdoor chairs and table cloths. I bought this umbrella to add to the collection. We live in Arizona so I really need something that won't fade.

Not worth the trouble!
Comments about Product: I ordered the 11' umbrella. The product itself is nice enough - fabric holds up well in weather, attractive colors/patterns, BUT - beware that Plow & Hearth does not sell a base that fits this umbrella and it was quite hard for me to find one. When I did find a base, the umbrella pole fit so tightly that I cannot get it back out. It is also very hard to unscrew the top portion of the umbrella (to put it away for winter). It is somewhat difficult to raise and lower, requiring me to stand on the table.
does the job
Comments about Product: Nice and solid, with a screw pin to secure the umbrella in the stand.
Love my new umbrella stand.
Comments about Product: I opened the box and assembled the stand right before a brunch. So easy. I immediately took my old funky plastic stand and tossed it in the garbage. Now I have one of your classy sunbrellas as well as a classy, sturdy stand. I'm prepared for many more brunches and 'happy hours" with protection from our
mountain sunshine. Gracias.
Comments about Product: This umbrella does not shade the table and chairs from the afternoon sun. Not sure how long it will hold up. I expected a little more for the price.
Comments about Product: This umbrella looks great and provides a good amount of shade. We have it in the 50lb. weight. Recently we had an F1 tornado. The umbrella was open and the storm moved it 15 feet across the deck, eventually pulled it out of the base, and took it 100 feet across the yard where it came to rest against another tree. Expecting the worst, I walked out to retrieve it. Aside from the ornament at the top being slightly bent, it was unharmed!

Comments about Product: Only the 50 lb. base works as intended.
Clips sent to correct the fact that the fabric came off the struts after each use were for some other product. I am pretty handy so hope fully I can figure out how to insert the coil that holds the fabric at the center high point back into the clip.
Make sure you order all that you need
Comments about Product: I neglected to order a stand for this umbrella and ordered a weight instead because the stand was not given as an on-line option. You must call or have a catalog to find it although they told me they were going to change it. This was frustrating and expensive.
Comments about Product: It was quite attractive. I was very disappointed in the weak construction. Because of the height, it was quite wobbly even in the correct height of the table. The umbrella broke after only a few weeks.

Appearance is Nice not sure on quality
Comments about Product: The pole appears to be crooked not sure if that happened in shipping. Being I live in the northeast I already put it away for the season and will use it next year. The top does not seem to stay on but I will fix with some glue next year. I am glad I paid the discount price as I do not think it is worth the full price

Comments about Product: We put the Lime umbrella on our back deck for shade and really enjoy it. It is easy to raise up and down and it is very sturdy. Everyone loves the color and comments how cute it is. Our cats also love to sit under it and take a nap on a hot day.

Comments about Product: we have had several windy days since i have purchased this, and it's still standing, hasn't been knocked over. it is well worth the money, very nice-looking.too.
Best Umbrella Base Ever
Comments about Product: This is the strongest base I've ever had. It's often windy in our area and the umbrella stands straight through it all.
Cast Iron Umbrella Base
Comments about Product: I like the design! The two piece base is great as it works with both tables and stand alone. I put some silicon grease on the threads of the lower pipe before putting in the plastic liner. Later one can screw in the extension if needed. I figure it should be easy to repaint in the future if needed.
Comments about Product: I have ordered from Plow & Hearth for years. Always happy with quality of items I receive.
You get what you pay for.......at least with Plow & Hearth

Shades of Summer
Comments about Product: Several times we have had guests over and ask where we got our Market Umbrella. We recently had a yard sale and had several visitors ask if the umbrella was for sale!! The answer was NO!!! The fun yellow color totally gets us in the mood for summer while shading us from the scorcher in the sky. It's perfect for people with sensitive skin that love being outside. This is a great item and very sophisticated with the wood pole.
Comments about Product: Goes well with my new Teak outdoor dining set.
Perfect for the Summer
Comments about Product: The umbrella is beautiful and matches a wide array of outdoor furniture. The only downside to it is that it is somewhat heavy. This is the counterpart to it being a strong, sturdy umbrella. I live in Mathews, Virginia, where the winds can become very strong, but this umbrella has not budged yet.
Good shade, retains color, easy to open.
Comments about Product: This is a great product, but it must be horizontal in a bad wind (40 MPH). However, no umbrella can stay upright in those winds. We get winds like this (25 to 40 MPH) here in LasVegas.
Comments about Product: We are big fans of Sunbrella fabrics from our boating experince. It is durable, long-lasting and doesn't fade. Easy to raise and lower; much easier and quicker than crank styles. Excellent on our deck over picnic table. Pole is strong and nice looking. We miss a tilt feature from previous pole.
Easy to use - elegant to look at.
Comments about Product: The pulley system is easy to use and keeps the price of the umbrella reasonable.
I would buy this product again and again
Comments about Product: This is the second time I've purchased an umbrella made with Sunbrella fabric. The first time was 12 years ago! That's how long it lasted and the fabric never faded. The only reason I had to replace it was because one of the wooden spokes of the frame broke - but it lasted for 12 years! Absolutely would recommend this product.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
