The Plow & Hearth Flat Guard With Doors continues to be one of the best-value fire screens available today.
Handcrafted of solid steel - not hollow tubes - these durable screens reflect the quality inherent in traditional blacksmith workmanship. Heavy-duty mesh screens are fully welded to the frame; legs and handles are hand hammered with great attention to detail. Standard Flat Guards fit snugly against your fireplace to keep embers and sparks where they belong. Back feet adjust for uneven surfaces. Select from two long-lasting powder-coat finishes.

Comments about Product: I was so please this arrived before Christmas but we didn't open until we got to our cabin on December 27th and found that it was damaged in shipping - the bottom left hinge was literally broken off from the main grill so the door is hanging from top hinge. We were out of town and out of range with no computer so could not report the problem, there was a slash in the cardboard box but it was not noticed when delivered. I had to 'make due' but wiring above and below the hinge so it would work. Really too bad as it works well otherwise.
I did send an email reporting this to you on January 5th but did not get a response.
Door Magnets Stopped Working
Comments about Product: This screen is beautiful but I bought it to keep the sparks in the fireplace and the doors won't stay closed so it isn't working as intended. The magnets worked for about 2 fires then stopped so you have to put something in front of the doors to keep it closed which is a hassle.

Legs Poorly Designed
Comments about Product: The attatchment system for the legs is very poorly designed. The back legs would not go on at all. I had to drill the holes lower on my drill press and then bend the legs. I had to bend the front legs to get them to touch the floor. The little wrench that comes with it is useless. The lock nuts are very tight and you will need to use your own 7/16 wrench. The doors close well, but one of the hinge nuts came off after the first use. The doors are nice in that you don't have to move the whole unit to add logs, but you still have to move it to sweep the debris off your hearth into the fireplace
