Too small.
Comments about Product:
poor fit. Making to do...but would not reorder. This would fit the very smallest of fire pits. Mine is not big...but this is much too small.

Wish it was black not green.
Comments about Product:
Inital shipment sent to billing address, not delivery address. However, it was addressed quickly via a phone call. Thanks so much.

Fire Pit Cover (aka Small Grill Cover)
Comments about Product:
Although this is labeled as a firepit cover, I knew it would fit my charcoal grill - which came with a really flimsy cover, and it was less expensive and more appropriately sized for my grill than the grill cover from P & H. Since I already have one on the firepit, I knew the quality would be good, and it fits just fine! Much better quality than the grill covers you get from the home stores!

Item made of quality material.
Comments about Product:
To cover a fire pit. Shipping suggestion: If shipping costs were suspended for items $50 and less, occasionally during the year, sales might really soar.

Looks like it should last
Comments about Product:
Much better quality than I expected. The cover that came with the firepit just fell apart. This one looks like it will last quite a while.

Just what we needed!
Comments about Product:
fire pit cover is a perfect fit - will protect and extend it's life - heavier than one that came with the pit, which was damaged in a storm - very pleased! thanks!

Needs Better Drawstring
Comments about Product:
Drawstrings included were bizarre and inadequate. There were 2 strings, both, shorter than a shoelace, and not long enough to go around the fireplace cover. These should be replaced with a stretchy, sturdy bungee with a fastener to secure the cover in place, strong enough to withstand a windstorm.

Fire Pit Cover is awesome!
Comments about Product:
SO glad to finally find one of these! It got tiresome moving the pit into the garage between uses so it wouldn't fill with rain.

Good quality and features
Comments about Product:
Actually using as a grill cover for an odd-sized grill; ties with locks at bottom make it easy to chinch tight to keep on in wind. Heavy-weight material should be durable.

Works fine.
Comments about Product:
I wasn't able to figure out real quick how to use the pulls to secure the cover on the place - the instruction which comes with the cover is real brief. But once I figured, it worked fine. Our firepit ("Dancing bears" from P&H) was outside all the summer long, there were a lot of rain, but no water or dirt got under the cover.

Tough and well designed
Comments about Product:
Tough, durable and well designed portable fire pit cover. It weathers very well and is worth the cost to keep rain water out of your fire pit. Fits perfectly!

Looked for this for 2 years, perfect fit
Comments about Product:
I spent 2 years looking for something to fit my fire pit. This is absolutely perfect. The only thing I would change would add a drawstring around the bottom.

The Olla: A Brief History

Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.

When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.

The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.

Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!

How it Works:

Water is pulled directly through the terra-cotta!
