Works great but...
The kettle works well, but it has a serious design problem with the handle. The handle fits into a small dent in the body of a very heavy kettle. It came off the first time we used it and nearly broke my wife's foot. That part should be redesigned with a more positive attachment scheme.

good gift for new stove owners
from Denver, CO
We gave it as a gift and the recipients are using it to hydrate their house by putting it (full of water) on top of their wood burning stove. I'm glad it holds a good amount of water
from South Louisiana
We love this! Perfect size for our favorite use.... On top of wood stove to provide steam. Definitely recommend this.
Looks very nice on our fireplace stove.
from Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada
Holds a good amount of water. I love the steam considering the fireplace can dry out the air with the wood heat. Makes the room cozy.

3 QT Cast Iron Steamer Kettle
The steam kettle looks great on our woodstove and does provide moisture. Unfortunatley there were no instructions included suggesting how to prevent it from rusting. Would have prefered to purchase a product made in the USA rather than an import from China.

Good looking, but it rusts!
from Hudson Valley, NY
While I love the look of this simple steamer, after our first winter using it on our new wood stove it has rusted at the end of the spout, on the edges of the lid, and all around the top opening. So much for being rust-resistant!
