Comments about Product: I wouldn't recommend this hose for a large garden area like I have. It would be fine to use on a deck or for patio plantings or containers. It needs to be stretched to reach far off areas of the garden, and it does get tangled.
LIke it but does not last!
Comments about Product: I like this hose because it is neat to store, also it is light weight. Only problem I have is that it does not last too long without leaking. I had 2 of the same but they sprung holes after 2 -3 years & had to be replaced. Only bought the same because of their lightness & neatness. Wish they were more durable. RED

Comments about Product: It tangles and even folds itself so that all water flow is blocked. I will be returning this hose.
Comments about Product: I bought the heavy duty 75' hose and the basket last summer. Since I waited for my new patio to be installed, I really didn't use it much until this summer.I typically HATE hoses! This is the best one I've used so far. I have to stretch it across my yard to reach a flower bed. It does require a bit of pulling and a little bit of help recoiling but SO much easier than what I've used in the past! The storage basket is handy and looks nice too. I didn't purchase the nozzle. I use my own.
good quality but not too easy to use
Comments about Product: in order to reach all the plants on my terraces (balconies) must pull prett hard to get full length, and "guide" back to original
"curled up" position to avoid entangling. probably should have bought greater length.

Comments about Product: I have MS. Needed something long and light to water my garden. It's light but cannot be stretched very far be4 coils come undone. It was more expensive than I was planning and it turned out not to be worth it for me.
One of the best purchases I've made.
Comments about Product: Installed/started using day of arrival. Very flexable and easy to use. Appears well made and have received numerous positive comments from neighbors and relatives.
Comments about Product: good hose
Comments about Product: I use the hose to water my deck plants and to hose down the porch and deck.
It's well made and recoils well, making storage easy.
I like the hose but it's difficult for me to pull it beyond a certain point because of its weight. (I'm a woman)
Comments about Product: Very neat storage

I would buy this product again
Comments about Product: THe hose works great...It's just what we wanted...perfect leanight and easy to keep out of the way
The head came off the wand nozzle
Comments about Product: The first time I used the wand nozzle the head popped off and it wont stay on. There are no screws to screw it back on. So its useless.

Love the Spring Hose
Comments about Product: 1st nozzle-plastic broke on handle 2nd day of ownership. Called to replace and the company cheerfully sent a replacement and I didn't even have to ship back the broken pieces. I have been careful with the second wand and it seems to be working fine...My apartment front and back garden love it and it beats a watering can hands down...

So far it exceeds our expectations
Comments about Product: We are hoping that it will last well in our hot Florida sunshine as we do leave it out. I like the fact that it rewinds itself so that it is out of the way on our paver patio. Seems to be made from heavy material.
Comments about Product: I have the springhose and the Wand Nozzle and have been very happy with both! They are both well made and easy to use.
Pretty good, but scratches/chips easily
Comments about Product: I like the wand, but even if you gently set it down, it scratches and chips the color right off - It works fine, just has some cosmetic issues

Happy with this garden hose
Comments about Product: I have two of these hoses in the 75ft version. Paired them both with the wall-hung holder which I also love. Green color of this longer version hose is a great shade of green. One of my hoses and wall-holder sits in main entrance patio of my home and it looks great! My first hose lasted ~4 years before it began to spring a leak, so I gave 4 stars here. I'd expect 5+yrs but overall, I highly recommend this garden hose.

Way Too Expensive
Comments about Product: This expensive hose sprung a leak after one year of use.
I cut out the bad section and installed a new connector. It worked well for another season.
Now, at the beginning of the third season, it has multiple leaks and is not worth trying to repair.

High quality, good recoil ability
Comments about Product: This is the second hose I have purchased. It does it's job well-it is easy to handle and recoils as it should. I appreciate the UV resistant material, but was disappointed that my first hose only lasted one season here in Louisiana. I would have liked to get more out of the first one. I did notice that as the hose starts to wear, it does loose some of the ability to recoil. But of all the coiling hoses I have considered, this is still the highest quality I have found.
Nice idea, but leaks
Comments about Product: I bought this hose as a back up to my sprinkler system. I like the way it coils and is light weight, but the connector to the faucet is flimsy and leaks, despite having a washer and being tightened as much as it could be. I am now having my handiman try to replace the connector which will add to the ultimate cost considerably.

Comments about Product: After only a couple uses; the hose does not coil back as closely or very easily. Yes, it does become knotted and yes the hose does crimp, cutting off the water flow. I would not recommend this product; too pricy for the performance.

Comments about Product: Though I have sprinklers, I prefer watering by hand without having to drag a long hose behind me. Watering by hand is more precise and conserves a lot of water.

I LOVE IT!
Comments about Product: This is so great! I no longer have to drag a heavy stupid hose around the garden. I have it attached to another hose so that if it needs to go a bit futher well, it does. And no dragging it back into place/ it just springs back! I love it!
Hose good, wand nozzle not so much
Comments about Product: The hose works well and is light weight.
I used the wand nozzle for two years to water my garden without any issues except it leaked where it joined the hose. This summer I took it out and it doesn't work properly. The flow is poor, the head is balky when I try to change the setting, and the leaking is worse than last year. It's sitting unused in my basket and I'm not happy with it. I don't consider one season of trouble free use to be enough!
Comments about Product: The hose doesn't spring back enough - it's difficult to get it back into the metal holder. Also, if you pull it much, it kinks and stops the water from coming out.

another QUALITY product.......BUT
Comments about Product: Pleased with the quality durabilily of product--usability for a grandmother gardener---a bit cumberson and heavy.
EXCELLENT [...] QUALITY OF PRODUCT.
Comments about Product: VERY EASY TO USE.
By Habitat Gardener
Comments about Product: The 75 feet of hose coil back together nicely; I put one arm in each end and carry it away. I'm not a large person, and I used to have to reel in great lengths of hose and always ended up with a big messy heap.
Comments about Product: I dont know if the hose will extend 50 feet, but love the convience- easy to use -pretty to look at.
Just as presented
Comments about Product: Easy to use in my garden....no pulling and tugging as with a regular water hose.

Stretches Out Over Time
Comments about Product: For the first few months that I used this hose it kept its shape and sprung back into place. I used it twice a week the first summer for about an hour each time to water my garden. As the summer went on I noticed that the hose started stretching out and when it retracted it would tangle in on itself. Now two summers later I have to very carefully collect the coils together after each use or risk spending considerable time untangling it. Its resting place while not in use is in an area that receives afternoon sun, so this could be the cause of the stretching. I still prefer using it over my regular hose because its lightweight.
Comments about Product: This hose is great-got rid of the long tangled garden hose I did use.

I would buy this product again
Comments about Product: I use it everyday to water my plants.
Wish this color came in the heavy duty spring hose.
By Lena, the yard girl!
Comments about Product: It is wonderful that I do not have to drag a heavy hose around that gets kinked and destroys my plants because it has to lay flat on the ground. This hose is light weight and goes only where I want it to because it is coiled. I love it!
Comments about Product: Because it's coiled, it takes up less storage space.
Comments about Product: I was happy with this hose. It doesn't lose its spring and reaches everything.
By Cat Lady
Love it so much, bought a 2nd one.
Comments about Product: We have lots of pots on our deck. Using this hose keeps us from having to drag a dirty big hose across the deck. So easy!
Need a little strenght to pull
Comments about Product: found it hard to pull over the yard. It may need to be used a few times to loosen up. Goes back great!
Comments about Product: Pretty and practical, this hose looks as good as it works. I bought the blue, and both neighbors wanted one when they saw it. I also bought the long-handled nozzle, which is really great.
Comments about Product: The coil design of the hose makes it compact. It stretches enough to maintain the entire backyard and when it is put away in the spring hose basket it stays off our small patio. The basket is beautiful, and everyone remarks about how pretty it looks tucked under a shelf that we installed on the wall.
Comments about Product: I like this product for watering the gardens. Love the way it curls up for storage. I do not like it for washing the car. The hose does not have enough pressure.
Good quality items
Comments about Product: Easy to move the hose about. Watering area is increased due to wand.
Comments about Product: It's very hard to straighten out for use at any distance.
GREAT FOR LIGHT WATERING
Comments about Product: Great for small watering duty. I also purchased the 75 foot hose for greater water volume. It's also top quality.

Love this hose!
Comments about Product: Love this hose it never kinks! Makes putting your hose away a snap! I don't mind watering all my flowers anymore now that I never have to wind a regular hose up. This is a good quality one also.
By water, water eveywhere
Comments about Product: We love the compact nature of this hose, and its durabilty. We have tried others and they don't hold up.

Light weight & no tangled hose
Comments about Product: use
for backyard gardening. Like it so well I am getting a second one for the front yard.
Comments about Product: It waters my patio plants as well as my greenhouse! It just coils back up into the holder. It also lasted outside all winter after being drained and is as good as new.

Comments about Product: It works well with the coiled hose.

The Olla: A Brief History
Olla (Spanish, pronounced “oh-ya”) jars have been around since ancient times. Made of unglazed ceramic, ollas traditionally have short, narrow necks with wider bodies, and are made in a variety of shapes. They have been used for thousands of years for cooking, storage, and plant irrigation.
When used to irrigate plants, an olla is buried neck-deep in the ground near a plant’s roots, with the opening of the olla extended above the soil so that it can be filled with water periodically. The porous walls of the unglazed pottery allow the water to seep through gradually, constantly and consistently hydrating the plants without overwatering them – and without wasting precious water to evaporation or runoff.
The use of ollas for irrigation was introduced to the American Southwest by Spanish conquistadors during Colonial times, becoming very common among Native American tribes and Hispanic settlers. Though the technique gave way to more modern methods of irrigation some time ago, its superior efficiency, coupled with its simplicity, has caused it to make a comeback. Though the technique has changed little since its introduction, today’s ollas are usually capped off, making them even more water-efficient.
Perfect for home gardens, Ollas are a super-easy, eco-friendly, less time-consuming way to water annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and plants of all kinds in dry, sandy soil, very hot or drought-prone areas, raised beds, and even pots, planters and hanging baskets. Fill the olla before you leave on a short vacation to enjoy worry-free watering – and a smaller water bill!
